The final leg to 3,020 metres is aboard the Rotair, the world's first revolving cable car, which spins gently so every window seat becomes the best one. At the top: a glacier cave, a suspension bridge across a 500-metre drop and snow to throw in midsummer. It's unashamedly touristy and completely delightful.
